We appreciate your generosity and support! To ensure we can make the most of your donations, please follow these guidelines:

• Quality Matters – All donated items should be clean, gently used, and in good condition. If you wouldn’t give it to a friend or family member, it’s probably not suitable for donation.

• Garage Sale Leftovers – We can accept, as long as the price stickers are removed.

• Clothing & Linens – Please donate clothing, shoes, and bedding in separate trash bags (no hangers). Items with stains, excessive wear, or damage cannot be accepted.

• Household Items & Electronics – Donations should be clean and in working order. Remove dead batteries from toys or electronics before donating.

• Drop-Off Etiquette – Never leave donations outside during off-hours. Items left unattended often get damaged, and we have to pay for their disposal.

We kindly ask that all donations — except clothing, shoes, and bedding — be placed in stackable, non-returnable boxes or containers for easier processing. Clothing, shoes, and bedding should be donated in separate trash bags (no hangers, please).

We are happy to provide you with a donation receipt for tax purposes right when you drop off your items.

Local Imports cannot accept items in the following categories:

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept certain items due to safety concerns, product recalls, inability to clean or repair, or high disposal costs. However, some of these may be accepted by our community partners—we’re happy to help direct you to the right local agency upon request.

We Cannot Accept:
• Large appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators, water heaters)
• Mattresses, box springs, and waterbeds
• Cribs, car seats, baby walkers on wheels
• Non-working electronics or appliances
• Computers, monitors, printers without ink, scanners without software
• Most pianos and organs (please call ahead)
• Construction materials and supplies
• Automobile parts
• Used medical equipment
• Used fitness equipment
• Light fixtures, window treatments/blinds (unless new and unopened)
• Sewing machines (unless approved)
• Dishware, glassware, or cookware that is scratched, broken, or chipped
• Textbooks and reference books
• Clothing, linens, or upholstered items with holes, mildew, tears, or stains
• Explosive, flammable, or hazardous materials
• Fire extinguishers, air humidifiers
• Items with garage sale stickers
