FOOD SHELF

The CAP Agency Food Shelf in Shakopee offers people in need an immediate supply of food. The Food Shelf provides fresh produce, dairy items, bakery goods, and meat, as well as nonperishables. Anyone in Scott County is eligible to participate once per month.

Food Shelf hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday, curbside pickup and in-store shopping options available.

ELIGIBILITY

You must be a resident of Scott County to use the Food Shelf.

If you live in Carver or Dakota County, please see below for food shelves in your communities.

  • Second Harvest Heartland hosts a free food pop-up the second Thursday of every month: Friendship Church, 17741 Fairlawn Ave, Prior Lake, MN  55372, 5:30-7:30 pm. 
  • Loaves and Fishes offers a free evening meal on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 5:30-6:30pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 119 8th Ave West, Shakopee, MN 55379.
  • Ruby’s Pantry offers meals once a month.
