Project Student Success: School Supplies

CAP Agency provides students of the families we serve with the tools they need for success in the classroom. Children are given a brand new backpack filled with supplies and books, packed by our community volunteers.

The backpack distribution takes place every year in August/September. Backpacks and school supplies are collected June – August.

Am I eligible?

You must live in Scott, Carver, or Dakota County and have children in school (up to 12th grade). The program is open to current CAP clients.

How do I apply?

Families sign up with CAP program staff. Sign-ups are now open for 2020! Please contact your CAP Agency program to enroll.

When are the pickup dates?

Pickups can be scheduled with the staff member with whom you signed up for the program.

Backpack distribution is on a first come, first served basis and will continue while supplies last.

What if I don’t use CAP Agency services or programs?

Esperanza will be holding a drive-thru “Back to School” backpack distribution on Thursday August 27th, from 5pm-7pm at New Creation Lutheran Church, located at 1053 Jefferson St. S, Shakopee, MN 55379.

Due to COVID-19, the event will be open to the families that have registered ONLY. Registration ends August 21. To register, please complete the form located here:
