Minnesota FoodShare 2022: Results Coming Soon!

Minnesota FoodShare’s Campaign is an important time of the year for CAP’s food shelf. All financial and food donations made to CAP’s food shelf between February 28th – April 10th were proportionally matched by MN FoodShare – making your donation go even further!

After the holiday season, donations decrease in the first months of the new year. While contributions of food from community members and food rescue partners make up a large portion of the food we provide to clients, there are items CAP must purchase from food banks and other partners to ensure a sufficient variety of food is available. Due to the pandemic, costs for basic ingredients are skyrocketing, affecting CAP’s ability to keep the shelves stocked and impacting our clients’ access to affordable, healthy food for their families.

Our goal is to raise $75,000 and 225,000 pounds of food to ensure everyone in our community has the resources they need to thrive. Stay tuned to hear our results!
