CAP Agency Staff Receives An American History And Indigenous Culture Training At Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC)
On Friday, September 15, 2023, more than 65 CAP employees had the opportunity of participating a training session regarding Native American History and Indigenous Culture, which was presented by Cyndy Milda, Community Outreach Coordinator for Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC).
It was a great opportunity for us to learn about the history, cultural traditions, customs of the Indigenous people especially the Dakota and Ojibwe members of the SMSC. We’re gaining a deeper appreciation for their culture and an understanding of the challenges they have faced throughout history.
Our CAP Agency employees, leaders, and our efforts to serve our clients are now becoming richer and more effective, thanks to learning opportunities such as this one.
