“We’re excited to increase our CAP Agency presence in Carver County!” says Jeff Hansen, Executive Director. “The addition of a new office location in historic downtown Chaska (110 West 2nd Street) helps us expand the benefits of CAP programs for an even greater impact throughout Carver County.” This new office location in Chaska is open M-F from 8am-4:30pm.
The CAP Agency also provides on-site staff support at the West Creek Apartments (401 Hickory Street) in Chaska. This facility, the result of a collaboration with the Community Asset Development Foundation, provides safe and stable housing for homeless youth aged 18-29. “This partnership demonstrates the exciting potential of innovative solutions,” says Hansen. “We really enjoy working with Community Asset Development, the City of Chaska, Bountiful Basket Food Shelf, and so many other Carver County leaders!”
In 2024, the CAP Agency provided client solutions to more than 9,000 households and over 23,000 individuals via Housing, Food Nutrition, Senior Meals-on-Wheels, Head Start, and Energy Assistance programs. Additionally, CAP provided over 326,000 pounds of food via Free Food Distribution events twice monthly (in Norwood Young America and Chaska) in Carver County, with volunteer assistance from the students at Chaska Middle School East.
